We stayed at the Baywood Inn and La Palapa provided the breakfast for hotel guests only. The Chili Verde omelette was the best I've ever tasted. Ever.
We were there the first day they were open for breakfast. The menus didn’t even have prices on them. The server was very friendly and helpful. She described the meals including their prices. The food was delicious. I had a traditional bacon eggs potatoes and toast breakfast, my husband had a breakfast burrito which he enjoyed very much too. The coffee was really good, bold robust coffee with lots of flavor. They make their own delicious salsa fresh, with tomatoes purchased at the farmers market. The front door was a little bit hard to find, you have to walk down the side of the building through a little garden area. It is well worth finding the front door. I would recommend this restaurant. I have not been for dinner but the breakfast was terrific.
Wow! This is an amazing gem of a Mexican restaurant in Los Osos. The food was absolutely delicious! I had the chicken fajitas and my husband had the enchiladas. At first, I thought the prices were high, but on the back of the menu, there is a great selection of combination orders that are very inexpensive. My chicken fajitas was easily enough for two. I can honestly say I have never had a more to notch meal. Beautifully decorated restaurant. My dinner came with soup or salad. Try the soup...incredible. You will not be disappointed in any aspect of the service or the food!
If I could, I would give 6 or more stars!! I’ve never had Mexican food as flavorful as I had here! I was considering the spicy shrimp but opted for a shrimp burro just in case the spicy was too spicy. Figured all burritos are the same. Wow, was I wrong!!?!! Even the beans in the burro were spiced so uniquely and tasted amazing. The salsa was spicy and full of flavor. And the ceviche was wonderful - not fishy tasting, just wonderful. Last but not least, the flan was the best we’ve ever had. And the wine (cab) was excellent and well priced. We’re only in the area for 4 days but will likely revisit as the food, flavors, portion and price are all top notch! Couldn’t be happier!
Best tamale and chili relleno I’ve ever had. Garlic shrimp, guacamole, flautas - OUTSTANDING. Wait staff very cheerful and helpful. Authentic illustrated chairs from Mexico!
The waiter recommended the pina colada and he was not wrong. It was so yummy. We ordered the fajita tostada (without the shell) and a combination plate with enchilada and tamale. Everything was delicious. We will be back.
This is my favorite Mexican restaurant anywhere They have the best fajita tostada, which is more like a salad bowl. The meat is high quality, and the servings are huge! Everything is homemade.
This place is amazing, the people are great, and the food is even better! Just an amazing family run Mexican food restaurant! I love this place.
